Fastest band in the world?
Last night I went to see DragonForce, a metal band who play fast, really fast. In fact the main reason I went to see them was to deterimine if they could keep up with the frenetic pace of their album.
Amazingly they can. I feel sorry for the drummer. The are all great show offs and their two lead guitarists (yes, two) love to dual and make faces and play with their hands upside down. There is no rhythm guitarist.
What else? Sharon and I are going well, we had a hiccup last week when I made a boo boo that really pissed her off... but I apologised and eventually we made up.
I am off to the States this Friday (ie 1 week) to see Yosemite, Grand Canyon and Colorado river. I thought I might get my hair cut there as well, as I am looking a little too David Hasselhoff like. The main reason I am going is to go to the RubyConf which is a big nerd fest, hopefully I might get some contacts or something...
This weekend I am going to John from work's house warming, to help Damita move house, to see Anne and Keith and tonight to throw dinner with Sharon for our mutual friends Matt and Jenny.

wow... I just *had* to check out this band (based on your blog).. they sure are fast! it's a bit like if Steve Vai was playing in Iron Maiden... pretty cool. must admit that I like it better than Hammerfall... sorry about that. I've only heard the free mp3's on their label's website: http://208.203.139.81/dragonforce/default.shtml
but it's pretty cool. Also, it seems that the guys had a bus accident in France, and had to use a drum machine on the last two shows because the drummer broke his elbow. It's on the site.
The band is cool but you must be jokin'!!!Have you ever listened Slayer,Nile or Cannibal Corpse?You better listen to them and understand what is REALLY FAST!
Sure the other bands are just as fast, but they dont sound as good as Dragonforce. It's all thrown together.
i am watchn my bro play a game called
audiosurf, a game that makes music interactive. it lets you kinda race on a comp generated racetrack that curves and slopes and has wmp type psychadellics. but it generates the tracks spesssificly to the song track that you select. dragonforce and cannibal corpse are both good plus some early metallica and pantera trying to find more goodies to plug.
Devourment and Nile are way faster than Dragonforce
Stuff like Devourment and Cannibal Corpse may be fast, but they sound like garbage.
just to let you all know, the fastest band is a hardcore punk band from canada called NEOS, they aren't very well known, but they are cited as the fastest. it's kinda hard to get a hold of their music.
